The Doctor Nicolas Castro Patiño has been practicing Law since 1973, when he graduated first as Lawyer and later as Doctor of Law, at the school of Law and Social and Political Sciences of the Universidad de Guayaquil, where he was awarded the highest academic medals like the “Premio Conteta” and the “Premio Universidad de Guayaquil”, for being the graduate with the highest grades and author of the best doctoral thesis contained in the book entitled “Poder Constituyente, Constitución y Control de la Constitucionalidad”.

He has won titles of the fourth level granted by Universidad de Guayaquil, namely: Diploma Superior on Constitutional Law and Fundamental Rights; Constitutional Procedures Specialist; and, Magister of Fundamental Rights and Constitutional Justice .

Professor at the Universidades de Guayaquil and Catolica Santiago de Guayaquil of Labor Law , Litigation Professional and post graduate courses in constitutional matters .

He has written several studies as “¿Es el Estado lo que Hegel o Marx afirmaron?”, “Teoría de los Actos de Comercio”, “La Reforma Constitucional del Poder Judicial”, “Una Administración de Justicia para Hoy” and “El Precedente Constitucional Vinculante para el Ecuador”, all published,

He served as President of the Colegio de Abogados del Guayas and Vicepresident of the Federación Nacional de Abogados del Ecuador.
It was legal advisor to the President of the Republic during the government of Dr. Jaime Roldós Aguilera and then the Vice President of the Republic of Ecuador .

He was Judge of the Corte Suprema de Justicia de la República del Ecuador and attended to the Aula Iberoamericana de la Escuela Judicial del Consejo General del Poder Judicial de España, based on Barcelona, to the course of the Formación Judicial Superior on the topic of: “Dimensión Jurídica de la Integración Política y Económica”, among other important international events .

Actively engaged in the profession as a litigator and consultant, advising , sponsoring and defending major companies and public and private institutions , and its areas of expertise Constitutional Law , Labor Law, Civil and Administrative .
